Robert MacLeod has been part of the Crescent Lake community since 2014 and currently serves as President of the Crescent Lake Association. He and his wife Jody, along with their two sons, enjoy spending weekends at the lake year-round, drawn by its serenity and the surrounding nature and wildlife. Outside of the lake, Robert is active in his local community, especially through coaching youth sports. Professionally, he runs a small creative agency based in Boston.

What brought you to Crescent Lake?
I grew up on a small lake in Michigan and my dream was to have a lake house. While sitting in the dentist's chair one afternoon, I heard about Crescent Lake. There were exactly two properties for sale and one was an old camp with no interior pictures in the listing. Yup, that's the one we bought and have been renovating for 8 years.

Why did you decide to join the CLA Board?
After managing the t-shirt shack for 4 years, I decided to take on a new challenge with the Secretary role. Also, I figured my years in the corporate world would help with streamlining documents, communication and process.
What do you enjoy most about the lake?
Early evening laps in the Whaler with our two brown Labs and meeting friends for life.

After a 45 year career in Finance, Ed is almost fully retired, aside from his current treasurer positions with the CLA and the condo association in Dover, NH where he and Katie reside. Having purchased a home on the lake 6 years ago, he and Katie spend quite a bit of time at Crescent during the summer and winter enjoying times with friends, family, floating 

Our family loves Crescent Lake and especially the community! We have been homeowners since 2008 and have lived here full time since 2021. Our lake is a gem. I am personally dedicated to protect it and make it better for everyone’s enjoyment. To further that dedication, I currently serve on the CLA Board, the Crescent Cove Association Board, the Water Quality Group, and the Unity Planning Board. Amy and I have 2 20-something children, Owen & Anne, 😊 that grew up swimming and kayaking with other lake friends here. I wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything. Crescent Lake is the best place to be!

A proud Crescent Lake resident since 1977, Zig Lisischeff lives and breathes Crescent Lake. He's a big personality who knows just about everyone on the lake. Whether he’s cruising in his boat, driving his Gator, or bringing the party with the traveling Tiki Bar, Zig’s passion for Crescent Lake shines through in everything he does. Known for his infectious energy and unwavering dedication, he’s always there for his neighbors and never misses a chance to celebrate the good life on the water. When not at the lake, Zig runs a successful landscaping company back home in West Simsbury, CT, where he shares life’s adventures with his wife of 20 years, Julie, and their two fantastic kids, Lorelei (18 in September) and Christopher (15 in April).

Happy to help pick up heavy items and move them for old people on the lake. Built the T-shirt shack April 2022. Has friends that ride stand up Jet Ski. Came in last place at the annual Crescent Lake Golf Tournament. I have been towed back to my dock 2 times due to broken boats. Rescued the lighthouse after it broke from its mooring 2 time in one summer. Lost the power cord for the PA system that the Gilpin’s loaned the board. I have been associated with the CLA board for 3 years. I installed the drip edge and ice and water shield on the Tiki Bar. 

Jen Bell has been a part of the Crescent Lake community almost her whole life. Jen  grew up spending her summers on the lake, swimming, fishing, and enjoying the peace and quiet at the cozy cottage her grandparents built on the western end of the lake.
In the mid 90's the camp was sold and was out of the family for 5 years. In 2001, Jen and Ed bought the camp back and have been enjoying it with their kids (Jamie, Sam, and Riley) and extended family ever since!
After the busy years of raising a family, Jen decided it was time to give back to the place that has given her family so much joy over the years. She is dedicated to help protect Crescent Lake and make it a wonderful place for future generations.
She continues to enjoy fishing on the lake as well as cocktail sunset cruises with her family and dog, Hazel.

We’ve been coming to this area for over 20 years and made Crescent Lake our forever home in 2021.  We had been searching for a smaller lake where we could get to know our neighbors and finally found that here.  We consider ourselves extremely lucky.  Taking an evening cruise around the lake to relax, reflect, and see others enjoying our lake is the perfect way to finish a day!

After I retired in 2025, I found that at long last I now had the time to begin getting involved in my local area and wanted to help our lake organization accomplish its mission of protection of the water and lake, promotion of safety, and strengthening of our community.  As a permanent resident of the lake, I’ll be here to do that.
