Milfoil Swim:

Looking for Invasive Plants

Each June, a team of swimmers, spotters, and boat captains conduct the annual CLA “Milfoil Swim” to spot any potential outbreak of invasive plant species. Using snorkels and face masks, they survey the vulnerable areas of the lake looking for any non-native growth. Sometimes the water is warm and pleasant, sometimes cold enough for wetsuits, but the volunteers always show up no matter the conditions.
